Daniel Albarn is a photographer from Buenos Aires and a genius when it comes to taking intimate and fun pictures. He loves photographing indoors, music, and the weekend, and you surely will love his explorations.
How did you start shooting guys?
I’m not quite sure if I have an answer for that question… I think it happened naturally. Now, of course beside that, there’s an intention to explore male beauty and sexuality from another perspective… I’m kind of tired of always seeing the same tipical 6’2” tall guy with huge arms, six-packs abs; you know what i mean?… and, luckily, i’ve met people who have helped me to do that in a moderately satisfactory way, i guess.. ha
Are there any photographers that have inspired you?
Yes, of course. Nan Goldin, Nicola Costantino, Cindy Sherman, Larry Clark… I think all of their works are just amazing. Terry Richardson used to be great, but lately he has been doing pretty much all the same.
Do you have any projects planned?
Oh, yeah… but that’s a secret!! No, seriously, I mean, my projects are, so far, keep studying photography, art history… I think that’s the only way to improve my work and do it better and better every time.
