Attila Richard Lukacs.

You must already know Attila Richard Lukacs! Shame on you if you don’t but it’s never too late.  You probably have bumped into some of his work and it is impossible to not notice one of his paintings or polaroid collages when you see it. Whether it is photography or painting he always manages to create something that bears his signature style. Usually depicitng male nude bodies, often skinheads or other gay fetish groups, he is equally impressive with his recent abstract work.

In 1985, Lukacs graduated from the Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design in Vancouver and is a member of the “Young ROmantics”. He moved in Berlin to wor in 1986 and reloacted to New York City 1 years later. His explicit and raw work has often shocked galleries and public but has gained him a big following as well. It is not accidental that he is often compared to Caravaggio and is a modern classic.
