Pol Anglada is a fashion design graduate with an immense talent for drawing and illustrations. Coming from Barcelona and living in Paris at the moment, he likes to work as a freelancer both in fashion as well as in illustration in order to satisfy his passion for creation.
In which aspect is drawing and illustration different to photography for you?
Somehow I can see why it is different for myself with this quote: “I prefer drawing to talking, drawing is faster and leaves less room for lies” Le Corbusier- at least less lies to yourself.
You have internet everywhere and have been in contact with much art. Which artists do you look up to? Where do you get ideas from?
Harry Bush, James Jean, Tumblr, Youtube and random things on the internet. The 70s and its queer punk movements, Le Corbusier and things that piss me off.
Is art also a way of playing? Why do you think games and toys are important to humans?
Toys are the way to picture your own universe when you a child, just as YOU want, in the honest way of a child. Art for me is to begin a conversation built by yourself. The message, the context, the way, the language and its close to building it imaginary and physically somehow. And you can scream and sing when you do it, which can be fun.
